I typically enjoy the Winter Race series too. I’ve raced at least one in the past several years. Incorrect online results: I checked my results at 11am on Itsyourrace.com, saw I came in third. Sweet. I bought lunch at the pizza spot, and waited for the podium. Then my name wasn’t called for third. When I confronted, who I think was Tonia, she told me the online race results were incorrect. So, that’s the first issue. Race results should update in real time. That’s pretty standard practice. Disrespectful Conduct: I asked Tonia who came in second and third, and she gave me a name that wasn’t on the online results. I told Tonia I didn’t see her name and Tonia replied with, “I don’t have time for this right now,” and turned around. Second issue. I’ll get on my soapbox for a second: there are always other races to choose from. I had the opportunity to race the Bailey Hundo, but I purposely chose this race because I like the series. I paid for the race, drove from Littleton, and supported a local restaurant. Life is becoming more unaffordable, so racers will be more conscious of where they spend their money. When it was their timing problem and the only “official results” were on paper held by Tonia, then dismissed when confronted about the results, is completely unacceptable. Allowing late starts: I see the online results have been updated (as of 4:45pm on 6/13/26) and I now see Alayna Szuch who came in second. I'm curious if she was allowed to race at 11:30am, 2 1/2 hours after the race started. Because, as far as standard practices go, if you are not at the start line when the race starts, then you get a DNS. I submitted this to Tonia and Jeff of Winter Park, and never heard from them.
